Strongly grounded in both science and philosophy, yoga classes at SUMMUS create a space for students to build a physical as well as a spiritual practice. 

+ Open Level Vinyasa

Our open class incorporates yoga teachings to guide your practice on and off the mat supported by breathing techniques, vinyasa sequences, alignment focus, relaxation, and meditation.

Open classes are appropriate for students with varying levels of experience. The complete beginner should be aware there is not much detailed description in an open level class, however the instructor will offer modifications for beginner students as well as more challenging poses for advanced students. Not recommended for pure beginners. Please join our Foundations course to start your journey.

+ Ashtanga

Also known as Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy), this class follows the the primary series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system, as taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Learn more about Ashtanga Yoga by clicking here. Please note: Due to the quick pace, this is not a beginner's class.

+ One on One Sessions

Deepen your practice, gain confidence, and receive guidance from one of our instructors to develop a practice tailored for your individual needs. One on one sessions are an invaluable tool for students of all levels and experience. and best way to address your goals and work on areas of individual interest. You can work with the instructor of your choice or we can match a teacher to meet your expressed needs. We encourage ongoing personal yoga instruction outside of the classroom setting to maximize the benefits of yoga.

+ Foundations: 5 Week Beginner Series

Highly recommended for the complete beginner, Foundations is a 5 week course running every other month. Classes focus on foundational postures and alignment in a vinyasa style practice, and breathing techniques. Students will learn how breath and movement go hand in hand in the physical practice, and learn a little philosophy along the way.
